Pulling some ofthe old songs out :) I have written a quite a few that just stay locked in a notebook. But time to bring them out :) the time feels right. Oh and don't forget about the show tomorrow! I am super, super excited about it. It will be nice to be out playing again. I have learned so much in the past couple years, not actively pursuing my own music. It truly has been invaluable. Keep it real friends. Love you all mucho!
Show this Friday!!! I guess this would be a good time to introduce my new project, Chic&Naive Myself and friend Kristen Palmer have been planning and plotting and practicing and creating, and just
enjoying doing what we do for the past couple months. And now is our time to shine. This friday you will see for the 2nd time ever, the "christmas" debut of Chic&Naive. Check out the show page for more details! Thanks :) loveyou all, and I think
you are all absolutely amazing, for the years, days, months, minutes or even hours of support you my beloved friends have given.
More updates to the site! photos can now be viewed in an enlarged view. So feel free to click on some pictures :) I also added twitter so you can keep following all the exciting things that are happening here with my music. I don't have any upcoming shows. Also, subscribe to my email list if you will, to receive periodic updates (seriously periodically, I won't spam you I promise).
Hey Everyone, I just made some new updates to the site. I have updated the Music Section and even added facebook like and twitter follow links to the bottom of each page. If you aren't following me on either of those feel free to traverse to the bottom of the page and click away. I also recently added a new member to my family. The ukulele. :) In addition to that I have been learning the Mandolin, a beautiful and incredibly fun instrument. Writing has been commencing slowly but that is ok, because I have been learning a lot of new things! I am looking forward to working on some new-ish music projects here in the near future.
Hello, Just uploaded the the song I finished this summer "In Loving Memory" to Myspace (click here to listen), it's a song that I wrote for Leola Stoneback, she was a very dear and amazing woman. Please take a listen to it, and let me know what you think. Also, I had the honor of having my sister sing with me thank you Lisa! You also are an amazing woman.
Much Love-
Michelle
Tomorrow I am playing Rock the Block, for the second year! View Ridge Community church puts on this big block party from 1-4pm on the 21st for the family and community. Kids can get a free backpack, haircut, mom's there is even a mini-spa for you, and you can even get your car washed, and play in a bouncy house. It's a pretty sweet event, and I am honored to have the chance to play. I am on first set at 1pm. See you there!

Isn't it funny how time just keeps going. All the things we want to do, well seem to always take a back burner to the things that are presently on well....the front burner. Since November of last year, music went to the back burner for a season, in the mean time I have been organizing life post-college and enjoying a lovely tumuluous season of transition. The band and I felt impressed that we needed to let it go for a season. So for this specific reason you haven't seen any progress, or any shows, or any merchandise or any of the cool things that we wanted to offer as a band. Feel free to look for what is on the horizon, granted I don't know what that is, it hasn't been revealed yet, but just so you know there is something, it's just a matter of time till we know :) Keep it real friends.
Love,
Michelle
I just finished updating the site. Music, biography, shows, and contact are all up and running. I am still working on getting both the pictures and shop sections functional. Little by little is my motto. So there you have it. Check it out, We don't have any shows coming up, and I don't want to promise that our new cd will be out soon. So that will be all for now.
Wow, a lot has happened in the past couple months! Busy, busy schedule, a little music and a lot of life has happened. I got to play the camp music at a summer camp in July, Camp Perea. The band and I played Rock the Block, a community event at View Ridge Community church in August. Tonight I just got back from the Lake Cafe, having played a show with Tayla Hodges, Ericka Corban, Mattaniah, and Todd Carter Koeppen.
That's pretty much it. Once October hits we are back practicing and making things happen, in the meantime, peace and keep it real :) Michelle
Hey, Hey all my friends. We will be playing a concert on Auguest 22nd....the details are still to come. But we will be getting ready for it and once again recording is going to the back burner. But don't worry everything will happen in time, when it is supposed to. Not forced or anything. It's just better that way. Love you all. Peace. Michelle
The show went really well and a big thanks to Brad Loomis and Starbuck's for the chance to play! If you haven't noticed i am making headway on getting this website to being fully functional. So check back for more updates.
